A new Jazz Vocals course led by international vocalist Brigitte Beraha.
A new Jazz Vocals course led by international vocalist Brigitte Beraha. We're delighted to announce
the launch of a weekend course in Scotland during April 2011 in response to the many enquiries we've had
from vocalists looking for opportunities to further their jazz skills.
International vocalist and educator Brigitte Beraha will lead this course which covers everything
from basic breathing and vocal techniques to jazz repertoire, interpretation and improvisation.
Singers will have the opportunity to develop their vocal abilities in a relaxed and supportive
environment through both group and individual singing, as well as gaining experience in working
with a rhythm section.
JAZZ PIANO
After a very successful 2010 course we are delighted continue running the Jazz Piano course tutored by Tim Richards, this time in September 2011.
Jazz Vocals and Jazz Piano courses will run at our base venue The Music Workshop near Lanark in south Scotland.

JAZZ WEEKENDERS
JAZZ WEEKENDERS are a great way to develop your skills. Each course focuses
on a particular stylistic area of jazz and are designed to provide students
with a progressive learning experience over the best part of a year. Courses are
set at differing levels depending on the style and material. Working in groups
the courses are perfect for developing stylistic awareness, improvisation skills,
and group playing.
RHYTHM SECTION VOLUNTEERS
To achieve balanced instrumentation in the ensembles we sometimes need to top up on bassists/drummers. If you are either a semi-pro jazz musician or a jazz music student interested in playing on a course please apply by sending us your current musical CV. On residential courses accommodation may be provided.
We hope to see you on one of the summer
courses and please feel free to get in touch with us any
time!
