BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE

Applicants for this course should have a good working knowledge of their instrument/voice and any ensemble experience is also useful. The course is not suitable for pre-Grade 3 level musicians.

Jazz Course UK is excited to present the Tron Jazz Course which launched in August 2002. Glasgow is one of the UK's most culturally alive cities and this new jazz course at one of the city's most celebrated and innovative arts venues The Tron Theatre provides a valuable opportunity for musicians in the area to play and learn jazz in an intensive yet informal environment. The Tron Theatre, which recently had a brilliant makeover has modern facilities including 200-seater auditorium, flexible workshop/theatre space, cafe bar and a superb restaurant which offers yet another performance space. The course is aimed at both beginner improvisers and those who have some Jazz experience already.. All chromatic instruments are welcome! Participants will gain experience in improvisation, learning music by ear, ensemble playing, on-the-spot arranging, Jazz harmony, performance skills and much more. Guest tutors will be invited as required. Groups of approx 10-15 musicians.

The course runs from 10-4 on each day.
